Join Peggy in this hand spinning workshop that is an all encompassing experience. She will be covering the fundamentals of the spinning wheel including Scotch tension, Irish tension, direct drive, double drive as well as E-spinners.
Beginners will gain a solid understanding of the wheels components, how to spin, draft, tension, treadling and plying.
Working at your own pace as you create the muscle memory needed to smoothly operate the wheel.
Advance Spinners will delve into finishing techniques, worsted vs woolen spinning, spinning from the
fold, fractal spinning and chain plying.
With Peggy’s extensive knowledge and experience she will provide personalized guidance and trouble shooting to ensure a rewarding experience for all participants.
From the newbie to the experienced spinner there will be something for everyone and the opportunity to learn and enhance your spinning skills.
No Experience is necessary and all supplies are included.
Please bring your own lunch and tea and coffee will be available to enjoy.
Class size is limited, to provide personal one on one guidance. You are welcome to bring your own wheel or use one of ours.
